Thursday was my day!!

Well I went to the nurse thursday morning, checked my blood pressure and it had dropped... ok when I went to them 5 weeks ago ... it was 160/95 and since I have a history of High Blood Pressure in the family they were concerned .. she said if I didnt bring the blood pressure down I would have to go on the pills for the rest of my life... well !! As some of you well know me and how dedicated ... no no strict ummm dont think that is right either ... well lets just say I have willpower that wont quit!!! I went on a strict diet / exercise and no alcohol regime. It paid off...
walking every morning and I mean every morning. Dijanne came with me when she was over from Australia (wave wave ) Well I can happily say my blood pressure is down to 130/80 almost normal woohooo just goes to show you that if you really stick to it .. it will work and it does pay off.... I have also lost weight about 12 pounds in that time... soooooooooo needless to say it was my day .... ok to top that off I find out I GOT THE JOB IN WINDOWS SYSTEM ADMIN that I applied for YIPPEEEEEEE ....
then that evening went to play cribbage .. we lost the first two games and came back and won 3 TO WIN ...... Not sure I can top that day off.....
So good news all around .

WoW! That's a terrific day all right! And you didn't buy a lottery ticket (or whatever they call them over there)? Congrats on all your hard work. Just don't backslide now. Keep up the great work.

Hey girl, kudos on both accomplishments....and it can only get better. When I became an exercise addict, my bp, which was always okay is now 116 over 70 with a resting heart rate of 64 so there is no end to what you can do....go girl.
