Saturday morning

Honey Bran muffins (banana too) Posted by Hello
Morning everyone... ok so I am going mad!! Yesterday and today
I have gone for my walk..yesterday a short one and today about
1 hour and 10 minutes then get in make a tea and muffins.. Yesterday
I took them to work ... everyone loved them .. I think I am just getting
them used to this and then bingo ..hey I have some for sale (kidding) !!!
But heck of an idea ;) So I am using this wonderful muffin pan its flexible!!
Made by a company called Paton Calvert there is a lifetime guarantee on this,
its also non-stick, just make sure its cooked and no problem. Non stick-ideal
for all types of backing roasting , freezing and settings Withstands temps from
-40 to 260c, so freezer and oven also dishwasher safe, will not crack or distort. http://www.cookshops.com/Product_Details.asp?idxProduct=21
it even goes in the microwave its like the oven gloves you can get that
are plastic .. and they go in the oven ... and in the dishwasher ... what
great inventions they have come up with.
Recipe is great for these as well.
3/4 cup all bran cereal (stick type I use)
1 cup of whole wheat flour
2 ripe bananas (mashed or pureed)
1 egg
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of honey
1/4 cup of milk

So you take the bran cereal and put it in a bowl with the milk ..
I sometimes put a bit of orange juice with the milk. Let this
sit for about 10 minutes to soften, then while that is sitting
start with bananas either mashing or puree and with that
put the oil, egg and honey. In a measuring cup I put flour
soda and salt .. this gets mixed with bran after the 10 mins.
Then you mix this with the egg mixture... putting this in
the bowl that has the egg, banana mixture. Spoon into
tins and bake at 200 (fan assisted oven) for 20 minutes.
Presto done.

Thursday was my day!!

Well I went to the nurse thursday morning, checked my blood pressure and it had dropped... ok when I went to them 5 weeks ago ... it was 160/95 and since I have a history of High Blood Pressure in the family they were concerned .. she said if I didnt bring the blood pressure down I would have to go on the pills for the rest of my life... well !! As some of you well know me and how dedicated ... no no strict ummm dont think that is right either ... well lets just say I have willpower that wont quit!!! I went on a strict diet / exercise and no alcohol regime. It paid off...
walking every morning and I mean every morning. Dijanne came with me when she was over from Australia (wave wave ) Well I can happily say my blood pressure is down to 130/80 almost normal woohooo just goes to show you that if you really stick to it .. it will work and it does pay off.... I have also lost weight about 12 pounds in that time... soooooooooo needless to say it was my day .... ok to top that off I find out I GOT THE JOB IN WINDOWS SYSTEM ADMIN that I applied for YIPPEEEEEEE ....
then that evening went to play cribbage .. we lost the first two games and came back and won 3 TO WIN ...... Not sure I can top that day off.....
So good news all around .

Lovely thatch Posted by Hello This was on
Saturday when I did a different route walking.

Wednesday

Ok so I bored everyone with my fashion drawings ok ... I will try to do some sewing and post the pictures. I have been occupied on getting the questionnaire finished and all correct .. now I just wait to hear about the job. Today I am off to see the nurse about my high blood pressure, its been 5 weeks now that I have been on the new regime, proper diet, exercise and abstaining from any type of alcohol. So lets see what she has to say ... I know I have lost weight and my guess is about 12 ish pounds .. almost a stone to those in the UK. But I did not let her weigh me at the last meeting with the nurse as I was too upset about the whole thing with the high blood pressure and perhaps having to go on the pills (for life) soo lets see what she says.
I will post a bit later and let you know the outcome of the visit to her. Beside my man is out for the evening so I have it to myself and can sew and play .. dance around naked if I like LOL.

Fashion Design Course (Fashion Drawing)

Look I can draw! I did a fashion design course some years ago.. I had the years written here but just though omg I am getting old... never mind lets continue!!!!!!!!
OK Fashion Design course and one of the electives that I had was Fashion drawing. I have put some pics in that I did. In the beginning of the course .. we started with stick figures 12 heads high they have to be so the head size and 11 more lengths of that to make the figure.
So you start with a stick type figure ..then adding muscle on to it.. and making sure they dont look broken ... a few of my first figures had huge hips and thick legs... I think they were just extensions of myself.. finally got them pared down. We did some pen and ink drawings, pencil, watercolour which was good as you have to work out how to make the fabric look real with folds and sheerness ect. We had to draw faces (see below) .. ehhe mine all look the same ..like they are related! This was a great course really, you had to think about things ahead of time.... and practice, practice and practice.. What do you think?
