Gift

Finished gift for Caroline Posted by Picasa
Here is the finished gift for Caroline. I hope she likes it.
I did some embossing on felt and used a stamp that I have.
turns out great don't you think? Not really sure about
the blue on blue but it works. I had the frame and it
had some not so nice green fake marble on it so I took some
sand paper (well an emery board actually and took off some
of the paint .. distressed it a bit left some green on put blue
and gold paint on it to pick up the gold in the piece.
What do you think?

Chiffon bondaweb and foiling

Ohh here we go again, another techique and I love it. I have a birthday party tonight for a friend and its for her 40th .. good thing she doesnt read my blog!
So I thought OHH I should try the chiffon and bondaweb and foiling technique.
I think it turned out quite well for first attempt. I also put some paints on there
as well. Now just to do some machine stitching on it and a few beads I think .. hopefully
ready for tonight.. I am such a last minute girl!
Will show you the results later today

Machine Embroidery

Close up of stitches Posted by Picasa
This is a close up of my stitching with the machine.
Its getting better the more I work at it ... started out
with larger more rectangular shapes but didnt really
like how they were turning out so... changed the shape
a bit .. hopefully it wont matter to much. I will have to
see when I am done . This was a test piece with
I did in the workshop with Laura Kemshall whose
work I will post as soon as I get it all together. I did
recieve some from another person who was at the
workshop too... and Laura will be posting my blog
on her Newsletter for her students to have a look
so ladies .. SHOW US SOME OF YOUR STUFF.
GET STITCHIN :)

I will give you a clue. Its someone on this quilting ring and I am sure you can identify their work.
Lets see how many right answers I get on my comments. No cheating either and waiting till you see others answers on the comments.
