Saturday morning

Honey Bran muffins (banana too) Posted by Hello
Morning everyone... ok so I am going mad!! Yesterday and today
I have gone for my walk..yesterday a short one and today about
1 hour and 10 minutes then get in make a tea and muffins.. Yesterday
I took them to work ... everyone loved them .. I think I am just getting
them used to this and then bingo ..hey I have some for sale (kidding) !!!
But heck of an idea ;) So I am using this wonderful muffin pan its flexible!!
Made by a company called Paton Calvert there is a lifetime guarantee on this,
its also non-stick, just make sure its cooked and no problem. Non stick-ideal
for all types of backing roasting , freezing and settings Withstands temps from
-40 to 260c, so freezer and oven also dishwasher safe, will not crack or distort. http://www.cookshops.com/Product_Details.asp?idxProduct=21
it even goes in the microwave its like the oven gloves you can get that
are plastic .. and they go in the oven ... and in the dishwasher ... what
great inventions they have come up with.
Recipe is great for these as well.
3/4 cup all bran cereal (stick type I use)
1 cup of whole wheat flour
2 ripe bananas (mashed or pureed)
1 egg
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of honey
1/4 cup of milk

So you take the bran cereal and put it in a bowl with the milk ..
I sometimes put a bit of orange juice with the milk. Let this
sit for about 10 minutes to soften, then while that is sitting
start with bananas either mashing or puree and with that
put the oil, egg and honey. In a measuring cup I put flour
soda and salt .. this gets mixed with bran after the 10 mins.
Then you mix this with the egg mixture... putting this in
the bowl that has the egg, banana mixture. Spoon into
tins and bake at 200 (fan assisted oven) for 20 minutes.
Presto done.

Thanks for sharing your photos and recipe. BTW, I LOVE that abandoned barn door picture. All that lovely texture screams to be used in an art quilt. Jen
