The felting looks fab, Tonniece would like more info she Didn't know what felting was I filled her in.....Di in my KOOL apt..... Thank You Lord.....
Before I read that this was felting, my first thought was: yikes, that barbecue's gone horribly wrong. :-) Re your question about width of fabric strips for crochet, it depends on the thickness of your fabric and the size of the crochet hook - apparently you should cut the strips wider for fine cotton and narrower for medium-weight. In the book quick crochet huge hooks they use strips of 2.5-4cm (1-1.5") with a 15.00mm (US size Q) hook for one of the patterns, and for another, 2cm (0.75") strips with a 12.00mm (US: O/P-15) hook. You can't seem to get the large acrylic hooks over here, so I ordered a pack on eBay from a seller in the States - the thickest one I've got is 11.5mm. I've now got some fabric to try this technique with, so will do a swatch sometime and report back to you! Are you tempted ....?
