Well its very pink but then I adore pink - the brighter the better! And I wouldn't have called the border salmon, more like cerise. Quilt it and it will blend in better. But I have to admit that I like it even if the colour police do come to get me.
I reckon a navy border would be better, would get rid of the pinkness (not my fave colour!)
Hi, you could use ribbon or cotton tape to make stripes down the borders, use colours from the panels in the quilt and it would tie them all together. You could do clever weaving with the ribbons at the intersections and if you machine the stripes in place you won't need to quilt the borders.
I'm a pink girl, but not a square girl--lol! So to me this needs some randomness. How about adding some random patches of chiffon and then slashing and burning off to give some texture. Or some FME. Or both! Happy creating!
